Trekking Through Tuscany
Our Trek Tuscany package is perfect for passionate horse riders who want to ride as much as possible. This is an intesnse week of riding, visiting all the local sights of Montaione on horseback. An example itinerary is....
Day 1, Arrival: After unpacking and settling in, we will meet for apperitivo at the local bar before sitting down to an exquisite meal prepared by our local chef.
Day 2, Full Day: All riders are given an assesment lesson prior to riding out; this ensures we match you to your horse perfectly before setting out on the trail. Once everybody is happy it's time for the off.Today we explore the wonderful natural beauty of the Soiano farm, riding through open fields, vineyards, olive groves and over the rolling hills. Some great views and a very typical Tuscan feel accompany this relaxing ride out.
Day 3, Half Day: This morning we will head to the ancient sactuary of Pietrina, taking in the wonderful scent of the pine forest on our way there. At Pietrina you can see for what seems like forever across to the rolling hills of Volterra. We return home through the forest trails where there is an oppurtunity for a gallop (depending on the level of the group).
Day 4, Free Day: Today is your well earned day of rest. Spend the day relaxing by the pool, take a day trip to a nearby town, or why not head to the beach?
Day 5, Half Day: Today our destination is Vignale; a charming Tuscan hill town with views to take your breath away. We will trek through abandoned farms, vineyards, woods and rivers and be amazed at some wonderous views along the way. This is a truly amazing little gem hidden deep within the forest. If there is time we can also stop by the beautiful monastery of San Vivaldo, known as 'The Jerusalem of Tuscany'.
Day 6, Full Day: We head out towards Volterra, over rolling hills, uniterrupted views across the Tuscan countryside that is steeped in history.
Day 7, Last Day: Enjoy our special 'Sunset and Champagne' ride. After a relaxing trail we sip Italian champagne as we watch the sun set on your final day at La Fiaba.
Food and Accommodation
Holiday prices are based on full board, although we can also provide half board and self catering. On full day rides a picnic lunch is also included. We can cater for special diets but please let us know in advance.
